Information we collect

Information you provide: your name, telephone number, email address, and mailing address when you contact the Firm, are referred or appointed to the Firm as a client, or communicate with the Firm about a legal matter; and the contents of messages you send us. Information collected automatically: standard website analytics and server logs (browser type, pages visited, date and time of visit), and cookies used by the website platform.

How we use information

We use information to provide and discuss legal services, communicate with clients and prospective clients about their matters, schedule and remind about appointments and court dates, respond to inquiries, comply with court orders and legal obligations, and operate and secure this website. We do not sell personal information.

Sharing

We do not share personal information with third parties except (a) service providers who help us operate the practice (for example, telephone, text-messaging, case-management, and website providers) under confidentiality obligations; (b) as required by law, court order, or the Iowa Rules of Professional Conduct; or (c) with your consent. Communications with the Firm may be subject to the attorney-client privilege; do not send confidential information through this website before an attorney-client relationship is established.

Data security and retention

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for the information we hold. We retain client information as required by law and professional obligations and delete it when it is no longer needed, subject to those obligations.

Program description

The Firm sends text messages to its clients and, where they have agreed, prospective clients about their legal matters: case updates and status, court and appointment dates and reminders, requests for documents or contact information, and responses to messages sent to the Firm. This is a conversational, client-service messaging program. It is not a marketing program.

Consent

By providing your mobile number to the Firm — including in court filings, counsel-appointment paperwork, or directly to Firm staff — and agreeing to receive text messages, you consent to receive text messages from the Firm at that number. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving legal services; you may communicate with the Firm by phone, email, or mail instead.

Message frequency and charges

Message frequency varies with your matter. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opt out and help

Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages from the Firm. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact the Firm at (515) 943-3529 or ericparrish@onessolo.com.

Privacy of text-messaging data

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except the messaging providers who deliver the messages on the Firm’s behalf.
